I let go of what colors should be, to see what they could become. Forms begin to emerge through the contrast of those colors and the painting found its own rhythm.
As a father, husband and artist, society has painted a picture of what is expected of me and the kind of box I should be in. When creating this I saw the colors that were expected and stepped out of that box to create something unexpected and beautiful.
When we surround ourselves with others expectations of us, we become imprisoned to them, its stops us from reaching our full potential, which keeps us unfulfilled in life. When we step outside of the box and trust ourselves, the unexpected things we can create could be more beautiful and powerful than anyone could have ever thought possible
